Cool Mint Cookie is easy to write off because her failed casts are impossible to miss. She steps into melee range, starts her drill, then a knockback or stun cancels the hit. Her summons can also disappear before they do enough to justify the slot.
She works best in a summon team with Licorice and Witchberry. The trio is built for split targets and crowded stages, where extra bodies can pin enemies in place and soak attacks. Against one boss with constant area damage, use a more focused team.
Why Cool Mint feels weak alone
Cool Mint is an SSR Water Charge Cookie, so she has to drill from close range without crowd-control immunity. One clean cast looks excellent. The next can be interrupted before it does anything.
Do not judge her from one lucky damage screen. Give enemy skills more targets, activate both of her synergies, and use fights where her wide attacks can hit more than one target.
The three-Cookie summon core
- Cool Mint Cookie supplies the main summons, area pressure, and crowd control.
- Licorice Cookie adds another group of summons that can absorb attacks and share the pressure.
- Witchberry Cookie covers split enemies with large block attacks and becomes the main wide-damage threat.
Licorice makes the setup work. His summons scale with ATK and deal respectable damage, but their main job is sharing hits with Cool Mint's summons. That buys her enough time to finish the drill and cycle again.
Witchberry handles the enemies that refuse to stand together. Her blocks stay active for 5.5 seconds while the skill has a 4-second cooldown. She already has continuous coverage without Skill Haste. Extra Haste can create overlap, but it is not the first stat I would chase.
Activate Cool Mint's two synergies
Cool Mint receives Multi-shot and Duration. The core feels incomplete when either one is missing, so reserve provider slots before filling the lineup with extra damage dealers.
Herb is the Multi-shot provider in the lineup below, and his healing patches Cool Mint's melee risk. Cheesecake Cookie or Tiger Lily Cookie can fill the same synergy slot when the team can afford to trade healing for more pressure.
Milk Cookie's Crunchy Strong Pediatrician provides Duration plus ATK Up and healing. That is an easy fit because longer summon uptime and better survival solve the same problem from different sides.
Witchberry receives Pierce, but I treat that as optional. Rockstar Cookie can provide it and brings a shield, yet the slot may be worth more as healing, defense, or focused boss damage. Finish Cool Mint's two synergies first. Add Pierce only when the team already stays alive.
Recommended Cool Mint team
Start with this full 12-Cookie lineup. If a stage asks for more single-target damage or defense, compare it with the recommended teams before changing the summon core.

Herb activates Multi-shot, Milk activates Duration, and Licorice plus Ion keep the summon core alive through another cycle.

Best Sugar Rune stats
Use these priorities when you sort Sugar Runes:
- Cool Mint Cookie: ATK%, Skill Amp, Skill Haste, then a survival stat if needed.
- Licorice Cookie: ATK% first, followed by Skill Amp or Skill Haste.
- Witchberry Cookie: ATK%, CRIT Chance, CRIT DMG, and Skill Amp.
Skill Haste is acceptable on Witchberry, especially if it makes the blocks overlap, but her base timing already works. I would keep a strong Haste roll rather than throw materials away. I would not lock it ahead of a good offensive stat.
A useful SR ATK roll beats an SSR line that does nothing for the Cookie. The letters look expensive. The fight does not care.
Where this team earns its slots
Rowdy Bikers is the best example. Three bosses split up and ride toward different corners, which can leave ordinary damage dealers swinging at empty space. Cool Mint and Licorice put extra bodies on the field, so the bikers stop moving long enough for Witchberry's wide blocks to connect. The core also works against Rowdy Truck and can handle the Twisted boss with the right support slots.
Plaque Tower gives the trio another good job. The summons appear late enough that enemies can group before the extra bodies arrive, then soak damage once the floor gets busy. That can reduce the amount of healing the lineup needs. Milk and Grapevine Cookie may be enough on floors where the summons catch most of the pressure.
PvP is less consistent, but the summons can bait enemy skills and keep melee targets busy. Cool Mint may not top the damage chart immediately. Longer fights give her more summon cycles, and that is when her total can pass much more obvious carries.
When to bench the summon core
Frequent area damage is the cleanest counter. A boss that wipes every summon every few seconds removes the reason to run both Cool Mint and Licorice. Pure single-target fights can also favor Scorpion Cookie, Rye Cookie, or another focused attacker.
GingerBrave at higher boss stages exposes the problem. The opener can nearly remove the team, and the summons do not solve that by themselves. The setup can still win after defensive adjustments, but that does not make it the best answer. If Cool Mint dies before cycling, replace one greedy slot with Ion Cookie Robot, Herb Cookie, or another protector.
The Tier List helps compare Cool Mint with focused carries at the same investment level. Read the rank together with the matchup, because a lower general rank can still win when split targets give summons a real job.
Quick Cool Mint build
- Lock Cool Mint, Licorice, and Witchberry as the core.
- Activate Multi-shot and Duration. The displayed lineup uses Herb and Milk.
- Keep Scorpion for boss damage, then add defense if Cool Mint cannot reach her second skill cycle.
- Test the team on Rowdy Bikers, packed Tower floors, or PvP before spending more Rune materials.
Check each unit in the Cookie list and arrange your exact roster in the Team Builder. If your Rune rolls are the weak point, use the gear and Sugar Rune guide before locking another expensive stat.
Cool Mint Cookie FAQ
What is the best Cool Mint Cookie team core?
Use Cool Mint Cookie, Licorice Cookie, and Witchberry Cookie. Licorice adds summons that absorb pressure, while Witchberry punishes split or grouped enemies with wide block damage.
Which synergies does Cool Mint need?
Cool Mint receives Multi-shot and Duration. Use Cheesecake, Herb, or Tiger Lily for Multi-shot, then add Milk Cookie's Crunchy Strong Pediatrician for Duration.
What are the best Sugar Rune stats for Cool Mint?
Start with ATK% because her summons scale with ATK. Skill Amp and Skill Haste are good follow-ups. Keep a defensive stat when she dies before getting another summon cycle.
Is Skill Haste good on Witchberry Cookie?
It is usable, but her blocks already last 5.5 seconds on a 4-second cooldown. ATK, CRIT Chance, CRIT DMG, and Skill Amp usually deserve priority.
Is Cool Mint Cookie good for every boss?
No. She performs best against split targets, crowded waves, and enemies that waste attacks on summons. Frequent area damage and strict single-target checks can make a focused damage team safer.
