CookieRun: Crumble Dungeon guide: Your strongest Cookies may be costing you damage

A bigger power number can hide missed buffs. Keep the group together, direct effects toward Milk, and compare two Pomegranate target plans.

FIELD NOTES

Your Crumble Dungeon score can suffer even when you bring stronger Cookies. A roaming attacker can pull the formation apart. A support can take a buff you meant for Milk. Another ATK buff can interrupt the stacks you spent the fight building.

For a push toward 50G, start with Milk Cookie's Crunchy Strong Pediatrician as leader, keep the group together, and check who receives the important buffs. The setup behind this approach reached roughly 52G, or 52 billion damage. That is a reference result, not a promise for every account.

Check Combat Power to see who enters, then compare ATK to see who gets the targeted effects. Milk can make the initial group and still lose an ATK-based buff to a carry.

Check who enters and where they move

Crumble Dungeon starts with 40 Cookies, with entry priority based on individual Combat Power. Levels change that ranking, so lowering or raising a Cookie can change who joins the initial group. Inspect the entry display after every adjustment instead of assuming a level reset guarantees exclusion.

The goal is a compact formation near the center. Buffs and synergies have ranges; a Cookie fighting away from the group can miss effects that make the whole setup work.

Oven Wanderer is a poor fit for this particular approach because movement around the boss can draw attention and disturb the formation. Summons can create similar positioning problems. Watch where the group goes before deciding that another personal damage dealer improves the run.

This is not a blanket ban on every Charge Cookie or summoner in every mode. Skating Queen can still have a role here. The useful question is whether a specific Cookie disrupts the cluster during this fight.

The recommended Teams page can help you identify familiar damage and support combinations, but its standard formations are not complete 40-Cookie dungeon rosters. Entry control needs its own check.

Make Milk receive the leader and Welfare benefits

Choose Milk as leader. If your mercenary level is at least 4, the demonstrated setup uses the Welfare option labeled 열정페이, alongside 초고속 승진 as the second choice. Check those options in your client and aim their benefits at Milk. The first depends on your highest-ATK ally; selecting Milk's portrait alone does not guarantee the result.

Include the leader effect's 10% ATK increase when comparing candidates. Do not simply sort the unadjusted numbers on the roster screen. Apply the relevant leader bonus, then check whether Milk remains first. Avoid adding the bonus twice if the screen you use already includes it.

If a carry still wins the comparison, lowering that carry's level is one way to move Milk ahead. Record the original level and ATK first. Rebuild only as far as the intended ranking allows, then check the other competing Cookies too.

The level 100 EXP priority guide explains why entry power and Welfare targeting need separate calculations. Keep enough investment for the intended Cookies to enter, while preserving Milk's priority.

Remove competition for Pomegranate's red beam

In the targeting tests behind this setup, Pomegranate appeared to prioritize Cookies that receive Projectile Speed synergy. Among the remaining candidates, higher ATK then mattered. Treat that as observed targeting behavior to verify in your own attempt, not a fully proven rule for every possible lineup.

Milk receives Projectile Speed and must stay in the group. The following Cookies also receive it in the roster data, so they create competition for the intended beam targets:

  • Zombie Cookie
  • Cocoa Cookie
  • Blackberry Cookie
  • Lemon Cookie
  • Strawberry Shortcake Cookie
  • Madeleine Cookie

The exclusion method is to reset these Cookies to level 1 so their power drops below the initial entry group. Confirm the result in the entry display. A level number is only useful if it produces the roster you intended.

Read the reset confirmation before applying it, and note any teams that currently use those Cookies. This is a dungeon-specific adjustment, not an instruction to permanently abandon them. The Cookie Tier List describes broader roster value; a useful Cookie elsewhere can still interfere with this specialized setup.

Do not confuse Strawberry Shortcake with Strawberry Crepe. They are different Cookies, and the exclusion list names Shortcake.

Leave Cheesecake out of this Milk-focused setup

Cheesecake needs a separate explanation. She does not belong to the Projectile Speed exclusion group, but her ATK buff can interfere with Milk's accumulated ATK buff.

The reported interaction is order-sensitive. Milk can build stacks while Cheesecake's ATK buff is already present. If Cheesecake applies her buff after Milk has built his stacks, those stacks disappear and Milk starts building again.

That means "both give ATK" is not enough reason to use both. In a run built around maximizing Milk, repeatedly losing accumulated stacks can undermine the investment you made to direct other effects toward him.

For this approach, lower Cheesecake to level 1 and verify that she stays out of the initial group. Judge that choice within Crumble Dungeon. It does not mean her buff has no use in an early team or another formation.

If you change several support slots at once, you will struggle to tell whether an improvement came from removing Cheesecake, changing beam targets, or fixing movement. Establish the exclusions first, then adjust the remaining targets.

Choose between support targets and damage targets

There are two practical ways to distribute Pomegranate's remaining attention once Milk is secure.

The more demanding option raises Macaron and Skating Queen to the top ATK positions among the other eligible candidates. Lower the competing damage dealers beneath them. Giving the beam to these buffers produced better damage in the comparison behind this setup.

Making that ranking happen can be awkward. A less-promoted Macaron may have much lower ATK than your carries. Chasing ATK through Sugar Runes solely to force the result can also cost resources you wanted for other builds.

The simpler option leaves the beam with Milk and two main damage dealers, such as Scorpion and another invested carry. You can still get a strong result without forcing both support targets. Keep Milk's leader and Welfare setup correct even if you choose this route.

I would test the simpler option first if Macaron needs substantial new investment just to compete. Record the result before trying the support-target version. Otherwise, you have no useful baseline for deciding whether the extra work helped.

For both options, spend remaining EXP on the active damage dealers only within the ATK limits your chosen plan requires. You do not need every supporting Cookie at level 100. Some only need enough power to make the entry group.

Use each ticket to answer one question

Before the next attempt, work through these checks:

  1. Confirm Milk is leader and receives the intended Welfare effects.
  2. Recalculate the relevant ATK ranking with the leader bonus.
  3. Check the initial 40, including the seven named exclusions.
  4. Watch whether the group stays together around the boss.
  5. Verify the beam recipients before comparing final damage.

Keep Pets and unrelated builds unchanged while testing the two target plans. Record the score alongside the actual recipients. A higher result tells you less if you do not know which setup produced it.

Make at least one daily attempt when you can, even if you are far below 50G. Participation, score milestones, and ranking rewards give this mode value before a record run. Check the reward screen for the tiers your account can reach rather than postponing participation until the build feels perfect.

Save a note of any reduced levels so you can restore another mode's lineup afterward. If Milk gets the right effects but the score still disappoints, look at lost carry stats and positioning before spending more on a target you already fixed.

Crumble Dungeon buff setup FAQ

Does choosing Milk as leader guarantee the Welfare target?

No. The highest-ATK check still matters. Include the relevant 10% leader bonus in the comparison and verify the actual recipient.

Which Cookies should stay out of this setup?

Exclude Zombie, Cocoa, Blackberry, Lemon, Strawberry Shortcake, and Madeleine to reduce Projectile Speed target competition. Exclude Cheesecake separately because her ATK buff can interrupt Milk's stacks.

Do Macaron and Skating Queen have to receive the beam?

No. They are the more demanding support-target option. Milk and two invested damage dealers offer a simpler alternative when forcing the supports' ATK rankings costs too much.

Will this setup guarantee 50G damage?

No. Roughly 52G is the reference result. Your levels, promotions, stats, positioning, and actual buff recipients affect the score.
